Getting an API key pair

In order to get your account credentials, Future requests you fill out the following form:

About Your Application

Are you using a 3rd party for your API? Breadboard
Reason for API request We use Future API credentials to view pricing and availability relative to our account for sourcing and procurement purposes

After you submit the request, please email support@breadboard.com to confirm that you have submitted the form. The team will follow up with our contact to speed the request up. 

Once you have filled out that form, you should receive an API key over email from Americas@e.futureelectronics.com. The email will look something like the following:

Adding Credentials into Breadboard

  1. Once you have this email, you may now navigate over to your Breadboard account and insert the Mouser Search API key

  2. Navigate to Supplier Management, and search for Future

  3. Under API Connection, uncheck Proxy through Breadboard to open a form for your API keys and insert the following while ensuring no extra spaces or characters are added:

    API Key *: Insert the value from the email response in step 2 where it says KEY

    Click Test and Connect to API. You should see a message indicating that this succeeded if the credentials provided were correct.

  4. Breadboard is now connected to TTI directly, and you can expect custom pricing and product information to reflect that in the app. For existing data uploaded prior to inserting these credentials, you can update market data by selecting Refresh Data
