Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments (TI) has a Pricing and Availability API to show the most up-to-date information for Texas Instruments products. Note that there is no special or custom pricing available from Texas Instruments at this time

Getting an API key pair

  1. In order to get your account credentials, Texas Instruments requests you login to their myTI portal and go through a process to get an API key pair provisioned

  2. Once you are logged in, navigate over to API keys and access

  3. Within API Keys and Access, navigate to the panel that says TI store API suite

    Untitled (27)

For first time visitors, this panel should have a button to request API access. The above picture does not show that because the account has already requested access.

  4. It takes the TI team about 24-48 hours to process API requests. They also suggest that you have your account shipping details uploaded to expedite speed of processing. Come back to this panel after the approval time and you should notice your API key pair is ready to be used.

💡 NOTE: The values Key and Secret have two icons next to them– one is for copying the value to your clipboard, and the other is to make the value visible

Adding Credentials into Breadboard

  1. Once you have your key/secret pair from Texas Instruments, you may now navigate over to your Breadboard account and insert this key

  2. Navigate to Supplier Management, and search for Texas Instruments

    Untitled (29)

  3. Under API Connection, uncheck Proxy through Breadboard to open a form for your API keys and insert the following while ensuring no extra spaces or characters are added:

Client Id *: Insert the value from your myTI Portal where it says Key

Client Secret *: Insert the value from your myTI Portal where it says Secret

Click Test and Connect to API. You should see a message indicating that this succeeded if the credentials provided were correct.

  4. Breadboard is now connected to Newark directly, and you can expect pricing and product information to reflect that in the app. For existing data uploaded prior to inserting these credentials, you can update market data by selecting Refresh Data
